Troy Tolle, CTO of Infinity Learning Solutions is appointed to the NCSU Technology Advisory Board

Infinity Learning Solutions Inc., parent company of DigitalChalk and Quizums, is proud to announce that Troy Tolle, Co-Founder and CTO, has been named as a new member of North Carolina State University’s Computer Science Strategic Advisory Board.

The Strategic Advisory Board is a cornerstone of the computer science department’s strategic planning efforts and critical to the department’s strategic focus. Tolle responded,”I am humbled and honored to be selected to be a part of the Strategic Advisory Board. I am looking forward to giving back to NC State University and the Computer Science department that enabled me to do the work that I do today.”

The NCSU Strategic Advisory Board is comprised of senior level industry executives and academic leaders who represent one of the most distinguished Computer Science degree programs in our nation. In 2009, under the guidance of the SAB, the North Carolina State University Computer Science Department received a Laureate Award in Education for its VCL-based Cloud Computing Services.

Troy Tolle was recently named as one of N.C. State University’s most distinguished alumni. Troy received his B.S. in 1998, Summa Cum Laude as a Caldwell Scholar and then continued on to earned his M.S. as a Kenan Fellow, in 2000 with an emphasis on human-computer interaction. In addition to his new appointment at NCSU, Tolle serves as a member of the Board of Directors for i-Cubed and serves on U.S. Congressman Heath Shuler’s Technology Advisory Cabinet. Tolle is a frequent speaker at technology forums on the topics of cloud computing, Software as a Service and Social Media.

A leading visionary and champion of cloud computing, Troy Tolle constantly challenges industry imposed boundaries on what can be done today and in the future. Troy’s passion for excellence is contagious and his desire to serve customers by developing the right solution to their problems gained him early recognition. Prior to co-founding Infinity Learning Solutions, Troy served as a software architect and consultant to organizations such as the Department of Defense, Fidelity Investments, Sprint and Wachovia bank. At ILS, Troy has designed all of the architecture for the software systems used in the Software as a Service (SaaS) DigitalChalk® and Quizums applications and is responsible for the company’s software design and development. Troy has a patent pending for his innovative design of the browser based lesson studio in the DigitalChalk product.
