DigitalChalk System Security

Authentication and Authorization

DigitalChalk requires all users to log in (authentication) and create an account in your organization. We require added levels of security such as email confirmation and Captcha image recognition when a user creates an account.  You can also control how a user accesses your content based on the content they purchase and by assigning roles (authorization).

Software Security

DigitalChalk software is developed using the latest in secure Web technology. For your security and protection, we will not discuss those underlying technologies here. DigitalChalk employs a modular architecture with no direct database access or direct connections to the underlying systems. We use SSL security for all pages that contain sensitive information such as user login or credit card details. DigitalChalk also uses PCI compliant payment processing.

System Security and Backup

The DigitalChalk system is housed on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform with redundant data centers across the US and in some cases Europe. AWS has achieved ISO 27001 certification and has successfully completed multiple SAS70 Type II audits. The servers are secure, backed up hourly and monitored 24×7 for failure and attempted intrusion.
