DigitalChalk debuts their 3.0 Einstein version Online video training software at ASTD 2009.

June 1, 2009 – Washington, DC

DigitalChalk, an online learning delivery platform, which originally debuted at the 2007 ASTD conference in Atlanta, is announcing the general availability of version 3.0, code named Einstein. This third generation system has a number of enhancements including a simplified user interface, numerous new course delivery options and a full-featured notification system. The DigitalChalk enhancements in Einstein are a direct result of feature requests and requirements needed to enhance the flexibility of delivery for professional trainers and instructors.

“This next generation product raises the bar for online training delivery. The DigitalChalk system is unique in the marketplace, no other online learning delivery platform gives training and education professionals so many options for delivering on-demand courses with little or no up-front cost,” said Tony McCune, VP of Sales for DigitalChalk. “These enhancements in Einstein make it possible for instructors to offer their material in various configurations, as fee-based training or internal certification and development classes, often at the same time.”

Instructors and trainers who sell courses for profit online, a primary market for DigitalChalk, need the ability to structure on-demand courses in many different delivery methods while maximizing the reuse of their recorded content. Einstein allows the instructor to configure many different course delivery offerings for a single course. Options include flexible registration scheduling, availability and visibility management of the course elements as well as many different course completion strategies. By introducing the offerings management capabilities to DigitalChalk, instructors can rapidly respond to new markets or the changing needs of existing customers without recreating courses.

With Einstein, DigitalChalk instructors will also have more control of student grade book management and reporting. New course elements include an assignment option as well as the ability to control pace, visibility and length of availability on any course element.

Troy Tolle, CTO, announced,”This product development team has worked tirelessly to make Einstein happen. This release represents a major milestone in the DigitalChalk product. We have made it possible to configure your courses in 100s of different ways, fully customizable by the instructor. We have improved the response time and given the instructor full control of the grade book.”

DigitalChalk is exhibiting at the ASTD expo booth 1519. The Einstein product will be available for demonstration Monday through Wednesday.
